One of the primary missions of the American Legion is to make sure that our veterans and their families receive the support and recognition they deserve.
Every member of our organization is a wartime veteran. We know how important it is to receive the support of our fellow citizens during and after our military service.
We are also dedicated to a vast array of local community service projects, such as sponsoring students to attend Boys and Girls State, Junior Law Cadets, Scholarships, and school supply donations just to name a few.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced it will readjudicate claims for Veterans who served in the offshore waters of the Republic of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. This review is part of the VA's implementation of the November 5, 2020, U.S. District Court of the Northern District of California decision to readjudicate previously denied claims as applied in Nehmer vs. U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Veterans who were previously denied service connection for an herbicide related presumptive condition due to lack of in-country Vietnam service will automatically have their claims readjudicated.
