One of the primary missions of the American Legion is to make sure that our veterans and their families receive the support and recognition they deserve.
Every member of our organization is a wartime veteran. We know how important it is to receive the support of our fellow citizens during and after our military service.
We are also dedicated to a vast array of local community service projects, such as sponsoring students to attend Boys and Girls State, Junior Law Cadets, Scholarships, and school supply donations, just to name a few.
Leavenworth KS VSOs
The American Legion and DAV VSOs at the Leavenworth VA hospital are both closed. The VFW is the only office currently open for servicing veterans. The Legion will attempt to backfill that position.
If you filed a claim with the help of our Post VSO, Vern Tobey, he will work with you to get you transferred to another VSO.
