A Veteran with an Honorable Discharge who passes away is eligible for military funeral honors. Give a copy of the DD-214 to the Funeral Director. In Missouri, this normally includes a Three-Volley Rifle Salute, sounding of Taps, Flag Folding and Presentation of the Flag to the family. The Funeral Director will make these arrangements at no cost to the family.
The Veterans Benefits Administration offers a variety of benefits and services to spouses, children, and parents of Servicemembers and Veterans.
